Description

Curodont™ Repair Fluoride Plus
Guided Enamel Regeneration

Professional in-office treatment of buccal, occlusal, and proximal early carious lesions. Suitable for patients 4 years and older. This innovative, easy-to-use treatment is non-invasive and uses a proprietary CUROLOX® formula to help teeth naturally re-mineralize. Unlike fluoride, which promotes remineralization and acid resistance on the tooth’s surface, Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus helps fluoride, calcium, and other minerals found within the patient’s saliva penetrate into the enamel. Re-mineralization and re-hardening occurs during the first few weeks after treatment.

  • 95% success rate1
  • Non-invasive therapy
  • Cavity prevention and re-mineralization
  • Can be used in conjunction with other re-mineralization products such as fluoride varnish

How It Works

“We don’t have to imagine chemistry that literally grows into the tooth, now we have it!”
– Dr. Brian B. Nový, Director of Clinical Innovation, DentaQuest, Westborough, MA, USA

FAQ's

What is Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus?

Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus is a clinically proven proprietary peptide that works to remineralize early carious lesions and rebuild* natural tooth structure.

How does Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus work?

Using a self-assembling peptide, Curodont builds a matrix deep within the depth of the lesion which then pulls calcium and phosphate from the patient’s saliva, to form de novo hydroxyapatite – the essential component of strong, intact enamel.

Why should early caries and white spot lesions be treated?

In the vast majority of cases, an early carious lesion that is not treated will eventually require invasive restorative treatment. Most fillings have a life expectancy of 10-15 years, requiring periodic replacement when additional decay forms around the margins or the restoration breaks down. Treating early lesions with Curodont before they cavitate can help prevent the need for a lifetime of costly restorative work.

What are the indications for Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus?

Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus is a professional in-office treatment and is indicated for use on interproximal, occlusal, buccal, facial, lingual and white spot lesions, during or after ortho bracketing. Suitable for patients 4 years and older to remineralize and rebuild* healthy tooth structure and help prevent the need for restorative procedures.

Does the use of Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus preclude the use of additional fluoride or other substances promoting remineralization?

No. Other means promoting remineralization such as fluoride varnish, may provide additional support for the regeneration of hard tooth structure.

What is the difference to products containing highly concentrated fluoride?

Fluoride containing products promote remineralization and make the enamel surface more acid resistant, however they act solely at the surface. Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus rebuilds and repairs lost enamel down to the depth of the lesion.

Can Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus be applied more than once?

Yes. While most carious lesions see a 95%** success rate, the procedure can be repeated if necessary.
